Behavioral Health In Loma Linda, CA

At My Pediatric Home we focus on relationships.  Parenting is hard!  Raising children in a world with so many different influences is challenging.  We are here to help navigate all those emotions and behaviors and to bring everyone in your home more peace of mind.  As a team we strive to educate and empower families to adopt a new perspective, to shift their thinking from managing behaviors to learning and building developmental and relationship skills with their child and teen that will last a lifetime.

When children and teens appear to be “acting up” or “behaving badly” we know this means that they are having a hard time.  They need help and need us to be present.  Using a collaborative problem solving approach with families, we can help children and adolescents find their calm again, bring peace back into the home and empower parents to know that they can work through hard times.

Sometimes we may be able to name the difficulty, or diagnose it, and in turn provide the child, adolescent and/or their family with additional treatment and support. The pediatric team here at My Pediatric Home can identify signs where more help is needed by behavioral health or mental health specialists and help parents figure out the next steps to ensuring that their child gets the proper care and treatment they need.

Behavioral & Mental health Diagnoses in Children & Teens

Some of the most common types of behavioral and mental health challenges we can help children and teens with include,

  • ADHD
  • Autism
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
  • Sensory Processing Disorder
  • Emotional Behavioral Disorder
  • Trauma History

Children and teens with these types of challenges have difficulty in social situations, become upset more easily or simply shut down, have difficulty focusing on a task or difficulty transitioning from one task to another, and many other subtle signs that families may not even realize is related to the challenge. If any of these signs sound familiar, you are not alone. Please reach out and schedule an appointment. The team at My Pediatric Home are happy to meet your family, learn more about you, your child or teen, identify everyone's needs and find the right resources and support to help.
